Policies & Safeguarding
Terms & Conditions
These terms set out how tutoring with Miss Maths Daily works, including bookings, payment, cancellations and use of the Student Portal.
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Tutoring services
- Miss Maths Daily provides one-to-one maths tutoring for students from KS2 to A-Level, delivered online and/or in person as agreed with the parent or guardian.
- Lessons are planned around the student's curriculum, exam board and personal targets. Progress depends on the student's engagement between lessons as well as the tutoring itself.
- We do not guarantee any particular grade or exam outcome. We do commit to preparing thoroughly, teaching to a high standard and keeping parents informed.
- Standard lesson length is [60] minutes unless otherwise agreed. Lesson format (online or in person) is confirmed at the start of tutoring.
Booking and payment
- Lessons are booked either directly with the tutor or by selecting an available slot in the Student Portal.
- Fees are agreed in writing before tutoring begins and are confirmed on each invoice.
- Invoices are issued through the portal and are payable by bank transfer using the reference shown on the invoice.
- Payment terms: invoices are due within [7] days of the issue date.
- Repeated late or non-payment may result in lessons being paused and portal access being suspended until the balance is settled.
- Fees may be reviewed from time to time. Any change will be communicated at least [4] weeks in advance.
Cancellations and missed lessons
- Please give at least [24] hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson. Lessons cancelled with that notice can be rescheduled at no charge, subject to availability.
- Lessons cancelled with less than [24] hours' notice, or missed without notice, are charged in full because the slot cannot be reallocated.
- If the tutor needs to cancel, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited in full.
- If a student is more than [15] minutes late without contact, the tutor may treat the lesson as a missed lesson.
- To pause or end regular tutoring, please give [2] weeks' notice so the slot can be offered to another family.
Holidays and term-time arrangements
- Regular weekly lessons continue during term time unless you tell us otherwise.
- Please give at least [1] week's notice of planned holidays so the slot can be released.
- Holiday and half-term intensive sessions are arranged separately and confirmed in writing.
- The tutor's own holiday dates are shared in advance, and no charge is made for those weeks.
- During exam periods, extra sessions can be added subject to availability.
Communication expectations
- Routine communication with students takes place in lessons and through the portal's messaging feature, which parents can also see.
- Communication about scheduling, payment and progress is with the parent or guardian.
- Messages are usually answered within [48] hours during the working week. The tutor is not available for support outside lesson times.
- For students under 18, the tutor does not communicate through personal social media accounts or private messaging apps.
- Please raise any concern about lessons, progress or a member of the family's experience directly with the tutor by email so it can be resolved quickly.
Portal access
- Portal accounts are personal to each student and their family. Accounts must not be created on behalf of anyone else.
- Login details must be kept confidential and must not be shared with other students, families or third parties.
- You are responsible for activity carried out under your account. Please tell us immediately if you think your login has been compromised.
- Portal access is linked to active tutoring services. When tutoring ends, access is withdrawn after a short handover period, and records are retained in line with the Privacy Policy.
- Any attempt to access another family's information, or to interfere with the portal's security, will result in access being removed immediately.
Digital resources and materials
- Worksheets, revision guides, videos, session reports and other materials shared through the portal remain the intellectual property of Miss Maths Daily or the original rights holder.
- Resources are provided for the personal educational use of the student they were shared with.
- Materials must not be copied for others, uploaded elsewhere, shared publicly, redistributed or resold.
- Lessons must not be recorded, screen-recorded or photographed without the tutor's written permission.
- Where a resource is a licensed third-party or exam board material, that provider's own terms also apply.
